Making Books Apparent and Leaders Forum Conference

Two joint conferences were held in San Francisco Ca in October, hosted by the Internet Archive. The first was "Making Books Apparent"; featured the Internet Archive in conjunction with its partners, O’Reilly Media, Threepress, Book Oven, Feedbooks, OLPC, and others, highlighted the development of an open platform for electronic books at a workshop for developers and early implementers.

The second was "A Leaders Forum" featuring the Internet Archive and various representatives from the library world to discuss the challenges and questions they are facing with digital collection creation, implementation of digital lending and to explore new ideas and strategies.
